Numeracy
At Longwood Primary School we believe all students have the skill required to be a mathematician.
Our daily numeracy sessions include number-based skill acquisition, a specific learning intention, real-life application of the skills, practise and reflection of skills learnt followed by future goal setting.
As mathematicians we:
- provide experiences to explore our learning
- practise number fluency daily
- value engaging and challenging mathematics with hands-on real-life problem-solving
- use mathematics in all aspects of our little school from cooking to building
